Tuggerah TuffsThe Tuggerah Tuffs Winter Swimming Club was formed in 1967 by members of the local surf clubs. The Tuggerah Tuffs became officially affiliated with the NSW Winter Swimming Association 25 May 1967. In 2016 the Tuggerah Tuffs celebrated our 50th year. The Tuggerah Tuffs compete at The Entrance Ocean Baths every Sunday from the 1st Sunday in May until the second Sunday in September each year. The Tuffs have over 70 members ranging in age from primary school-aged boys to swimmers in their 80s. New male members are always welcome to join our club either at the beginning of the season, or anytime throughout the season. |
The Tuggerah Tuffs is a non profit organisation and over the years we have donated to several charities such as The Guide Dogs Association, who we have been supporting for over 30 years. We are proud to state that over the years we have raised well over $40,000 for the Guide Dogs.
We also support The Entrance Surf Club and the Toowoon Bay Ocean Swim as well as other charities as the need arises.
