Forster Tuncurry Mudcrabs
The "Mudcrabs" are in their 34th year of winter swimming with our oldest member, Bruce Kellow, being 87, and our youngest (honorary), Harper Cusack, 6 months' old. We were originally known as the Cold Tooths but changed our name in the mid-eighties.
Obviously members come and go over the years but we boast a high percentage of swimmers who have been with the club for decades, such is the nature of the club. We are a small club of around 50 members which offers the kind of camaraderie which benefits all of our members. We promote ourselves as a family club and encourage the whole family to participate. We swim at the iconic Forster Ocean Pool and can be found there most days of the year but particularly between May and September when our races start at 9.00am; all are welcome to come and join us. |
