Publicity Officer: Jaffa the Bears 0410 453 890 The Cronulla Polar Bears Winter Swimming Club was founded in 1953 and has swum and competed in the ocean rock pool at Cronulla on Sundays between May and September ever since. We meet at 9am every Sunday at the John Suann Room above the indoor pool complex. |
On a diet of potatoes, chilli and beer the Cronulla Polar Bears have won at least 24 of 26 South Metropolitan Championships and have been the Australian Winter Swimming Champions 12 times:
